Headers
Headers are critical components in all types of boilers, collecting steam from generating tubes while operating under high pressure, ranging from 300 psi to 2000 psi. We ensure meticulous fabrication of headers, which vary in size from 100 mm to 600 mm NB, depending on the boiler’s generating capacity. Stubs of various sizes are carefully welded to the main body to create the necessary openings. Bevelling and weld preparation of these stubs are first inspected and approved by the Chief Inspector of Boilers. After full welding, the headers undergo a final inspection under hydraulic pressure, from 1000 to 3000 psi, as specified. Headers are stamped by the Chief Inspector before leaving our facility. Additionally, we also use skubolets and weldolets in place of traditional stubs when required.
